Gail Whitear is an esteemed life coach and motivational speaker with over 10 years of experience where she has run her coaching business.
Her motto is, variety is the spice of life, change is as good as a holiday and the possibilities are infinite.
She in her own right would be called an all-rounder, with a colourful and varied resume. Gail has proved her versatility and adaptability whilst she has gleaned a wealth of life experience and consolidated it into her career as a coach and co-founder of Giant Solutions.
Gail believes that there is not a human alive that is not capable of change and that everyone can evolve and expand into whatever they choose to be.
Her passion for personal growth is one of a personal nature and she has an intimate knowledge of what it means to hit your lowest point and what it means to overcome no matter what.
She does not see herself as a teacher per se, but more as a student of life sharing what she has learned and is still yet to learn.
Gail feels that Life is an Echo:
What you send out, comes back.
What you sow you reap.
What you give, you get.
What you see in others exists in you.
Gail M. Westphal
Gail Westphal is a powerhouse in her own right. Her motto in life is "there are no stop signs, only challenges to be overcome".
She prides herself in her ability to see something and goes after it. Challenges are what excite her and provide much of the fun life has to offer. While most people fear the word no, Gail delights in it.
She wracks up an impressive professional history where she has held high-responsibility positions and is well respected in the world of tourism and marketing. She brings a world of expertise and experience to Giant because she believes while knowledge is important and technical skills hold a place, there is nothing that sets someone apart from the rest like a person who holds and carries a great set of strong soft skills. Having had the privilege of leading large teams in her career she has first-hand seen how beneficial these skills are and how they are still widely needed.
Gail is deeply passionate about helping people become the very best version of themselves as they can be. She also believes that the journey of learning never ends which is why she is so happy to be a co-founder of Giant, not just so others can learn, but so she too can continue to grow.
Gail believes that self-discipline begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don't control what you think, you can't control what you do!
About Giant Workforce Solutions
Giant Solutions is in the business of bringing the heartbeat back into business life. Our number one top aim is to help companies to foster a meaningful and authentic connection with each other. Our experience has shown us time and time again that any team that is too single-minded and is not connected to each other in a common goal, is a team that can easily become derailed when the pressure is on. A business is made up of people first, and if they are not healthy in their mindset, then the business is less resilient in tough times. The mark of a great working environment is not when things are going great, it's how staff work together and stand in support of each other when the company faces challenges.
So how do we achieve this? Soft Skills, that's how. (Click here for a more academic explanation of what soft skills are).
To put it simply, another term for it is people skills.
Soft Skills are one of the most underrated, and yet vital, set of skills needed for a business to ensure resilience and continued growth. (Click here to access our blog article on "Why soft skills training is not a luxury, but a necessity").
Gone are the days when technical knowledge is enough for success, in this day and age, and with the advent of technology, the number one desired commodity for business to thrive is through trusted connection. Consumers are no longer paying for products or services, they are paying for 3 main things: to be seen, to be heard, and to be understood, which in turn meets the need for safety.
The information age has a double edge sword. On one hand, we know more than ever before and we can access it at any time, but on the other hand, it causes a lot of uncertainty and confusion too.
Knowledge and technical skills when they stand on their own are just that, they do not have the power to set a company apart from its competitors, but soft skills do.
A Harvard study shows that productivity is raised by 85% when a team is well-versed and trained in their soft skills. They are more confident, resilient, empathetic, supportive, adaptable, responsible, and dependable. They have the ability to navigate everyday challenges with a solution-orientated mindset. They can ask for help when needed and are not afraid to charter new territory. Their relationship with mistakes is seen as an opportunity to grow. They understand that there is no "I" in TEAM and that each person plays a vital role in a collective that is invested in a united goal. They value people for their unique qualities and know how to leverage the strengths of others to support them through challenges they may face directly related to their specific job roles. They have a clear-cut understanding of the part they play in the greater picture and ensure every effort is made to deliver on it.
At Giant, we know and understand what the above looks like and how to achieve it. We help our clients to move into a greater world of self-awareness and identify the need for growth points, which transform them into an asset that continues to grow and expand for the better.
